A total of 65 crimes or offences were recorded in the month of May for the Fountainbridge area.

Thefts from licensed premises is quite low this month, as is Theft by shoplifting.

There were 12 assaults reported , mostly relating to domestic situations.

In relation to domestic housebreakings there were 3 such reports this month.

A total of 215 crimes or offences were recorded in the month of May for the Tollcross area.

The large number of crimes are Thefts from within licensed premises with persons leaving property unattended.

There were 39 reports of assault, 19 of which were solved.

There was only 1 domestic housebreaking and 1 business housebreaking reported during May, this is down significantly on last month.

An attempt was made to steal a Ford Escort in Bryson Road.
2 males were charged with attempting to steal a motorcycle in Leamington Place.
A Yamaha motorcycle was stolen from Viewforth.

A Honda motorcar was stolen from Boroughloch Square, and a Honda motorcycle was stolen from Lauriston Gardens.

There were no pedal cycles stolen during April. Thefts of pedal cycles is still a problem in the Tollcross area.

There were 5 in total these occurring at High Riggs, Middle Meadow Walk, Lauriston Gardens, Brougham Street and George Square.
